IF ONLY
If Only was written after my mother and I went to a local park in Burton-in-Lonsdale. A man came into the park with his two children and stayed for about one hour. In the whole of the hour he never took his eyes from his phone. Even when the little girl was pulling at his jacket saying “Daddy, daddy.” he never even looked up. She gave him her coat and he just put an arm out whilst still scrolling! If Only is about the things you miss when you are alive because you are so consumed by your phone.

DRIVING
Driving was inspired after we had listened to a Shania Twain song. The song ended up nothing like any of Shania Twains songs, not lyrically, not the sound not the beat nothing!!!

VAGABOND
Vagabond was written by my mother 15 years ago. She shelved it for about 14 years becasue she could not get the chorus right. We had a look at it last year, mastered the chorus and Vagabond was born. A classic love song about people who have problems that need to be sorted out, but ultimately they love eachother and want to stay together.
COMIN FOR YOU
This song was predominantly written by my mother as she was a victim of domestic violence. He tries to go out of his way to this day to bad mouth her locally, but the tables are turning and he is being hoisted by his own petard. Many victims of domestic violence will resonate with this song and the lengths the abusers go to, to smoke screen their own behaviour and will know how easily they convince many they are the victim. Written from the heart, it’s a truly magnificent song with genuine lyrics about a subject that needs exposing.

I DO
I Do was the first song I wrote and recorded. I didn’t want wishy washy lyrics, like I love you or your heart is mine, we were meant to be etc. So when we were putting pen to paper, mum said what like; I love you, skies are blue. It stuck and ‘I Do’ was born. Listen to the track, I can promise you the lyrics get stronger 😂
