The Kitchen area

The kitchen can be entered from both sides through stable doors, these are fabulous when you are cruising as they can be left open in good weather and you can enjoy the breeze.

Also the roof slides back to fully expose the sky above.

I built a large quarter glass front screen, which gives all round vision whilst cruising, sitting on the bench seat opposite the Rayburn at night you can look up at the stars and the view is breath taking as it gives an almost tunnel illusion.

Rear Audi leather seats have been fitted at the rear of the boat, giving the driver an armchair cruise and also a great place to eat at or use when socialising.  Either side of the leather seats are hidden cupboards for that extra storage. Underneath is a large storage area and we use that to store the dining table amongst other things.  The kitchen units are made out of thick reclaimed scaffolding boards, built to last and in one unit is a pot sink with Antique brass taps.  The kitchen surfaces are made of Oak.  The engine is easily accessible through two lift up floor boards and behind the engine is a storage unit for wine.

Dropping down the steps you are presented with a solid wood seating area.

Opposite that is a multi fuel Rayburn with twin wall flue

Next to that is a large log store and antique ceramic tile fronted coal store.  The steps coming down to the cabin are very wide so that people can walk down without having to crouch, the steps also lift up to reveal ample extra storage.  Antique coat hooks and brass double sockets adorn the walls either side.

The flooring is of exceptional quality and is made of approximately 1″ thick antique pine they were sourced from a gymnasium in Germany and the lengths are extremely long and this runs throughout the boat.

Bathroom

The bathroom has a small bath and cassette toilet, it is is housed in a curved wall of glass blocks that look amazing particularly at night and by  candle light.   The blocks can also be lit with their own enclosed L.E.D lights.  In the day time they allow light to cascade through, making the bath room appear far larger than it actually is.

The same effect of this is seen as you enter the cabin as it gives the illusion of width, something desperately needed in any narrow boat.  The bath water is heated by a brand new gas heater.  All the bathroom fittings are of the highest quality the holders being made of Antique brass in a Fleur de lis design.  The bathroom even boasts Antique wood carvings and a stunning delicate lace curtain.

Bedroom 1

For the size of the boat the bedrooms are incredibly spacious and have a 6ft bed in them with plenty of under bed storage, the side and ceiling are made of pine and the front of the bedroom is made of glass blocks which again make sure there are no dull or dark spaces on this boat.  In the bathroom  there is the most stunning embroidered Antique curtain, a bed side shelf with a large drawer and a double shelf made from an old press.  There are plenty of hooks and rails all for extra storage.

Bedroom 2

Again this room has a wall of glass blocks and the bed slightly elevated so a child can play in front and underneath giving quite an impressive size playing area on a 45ft boat!

The Front room

The front room is extremely spacious with glorious hand made bi fold wooden and glass doors that open up fully to expose the front of the boat where you can easily step out onto a small seating area, ideal for sitting out on summer nights or when you are cruising the water ways.  The large bench seat opens up into a double bed and there is a large Antique wooden chair in the corner.  Sitting here reading a book on a summers day with the doors open is lovely.  There again is plenty of storage under the seat and the steps to outside again open up to reveal plenty of hidden storage.
